ROADCASTERS
The band Roadcasters plays an electric blues with a hint of shuffle, funk, soul and R&B. The repertoir is based on their own arrangements of pieces interpreted by B.B.King, A.Collins, Etta James, Buddy Guy etc. This band with the average age of 23 emphasizes the inventiveness and plays with young creative energy. Avoiding copying the old blues standards, they show blues in a modern style, arranges and sound, trying to keep the originality and genuineness.
Guitarist Marcel Flemr and singer Hanka Rihova are former members of band Buddy Wonders which wan 2nd prize on the international blues competition Noc Bluesowa '02 in Poland (Rawa Mazowiecka) and appeared on the Blues Alive '02 festival in Czech (Sumperk). Drumer Tomas Bobrovniczky with his former slovakian ZVA 12-28 band triumphed on these two festivals as well as on other blues events in Czech and Slovak Republic. He was also a member of famous slovakian band Bluesweiser. The bass guitarist Pavel Novak also comes from very good musical ground, he used to play with several funk and blues bands. These four guys met in a band RT&Misfits, played in Prague clubs and appeared in Slovakia, Hungary and Austria. Honza Honanek Korselt plays piano and hammond organ whirlwind in busy pieces but calms down in moll bluesy ones. Over and above he plays a part of successful Czech blues show of David Murphy Band.
